I've spent the last 8+ years figuring out how to make things work better — whether that's a physical product, a website, or an AI-powered video production workflow. These days, I'm navigating the intersection of design and emerging technology, exploring how AI and automation are reshaping the way we create.

My path wasn't exactly
linear — that's kind of the point.

🎓
SCAD — Savannah, Georgia
Industrial Design — Where It All Began
I started at SCAD studying Industrial Design, working on everything from skidsteers for JCB to performance gear for Reebok. I loved the tangibility of it — sketching, prototyping, testing with real people. But I kept bumping into the digital side of things and got curious.

VanArts — Vancouver, BC
Web Development & Interactive Design — The Pivot
So I pivoted. I went to VanArts to learn web development and interactive design. That's where the digital bug really bit — and I've never looked back.

Parsons School of Design — New York
MFA Design & Technology — Things Got Weird (In a Good Way)
I dove deeper at Parsons with an MFA in Design & Technology. That's where things got weird. I spent time at Cyborg Futures working with Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas on perceptual technology — basically, designing senses that don't exist yet. It was mind-bending and totally changed how I think about what design can do.

iomer — Lead UX Designer
3 Years Leading UX — Learning to Move Fast
I moved into UX full-time. I spent 3 years as a Lead UX Designer at iomer, working on everything from SharePoint environments to large-scale digital transformations. I learned how to balance user needs with business constraints, how to move fast without breaking things, and how to communicate design decisions to stakeholders who just want to know if it'll work.

What I'm Up To Now

Exploring the frontier
of AI + Design

I recently wrapped up at Iomer (December 2024) and I'm exploring what's next. Right now, I'm working as a Business Developer for Poveste AI Studio — a film studio using generative AI to create high-quality video content for productions and advertising.

If you're interested in what AI can do for video production, let's talk. Beyond that, I'm open to all kinds of opportunities — full-time roles, contract work, collaborations. I like working on problems that sit at the intersection of design, technology, and real-world impact.

What's Next

Full-time roles, contract work, and collaborations — especially at the intersection of design, technology, and real-world impact.

UX Design Product Design Creative Tech AI & Automation

I don't believe in design
for design's sake.

Every project I take on needs to solve a problem — whether that's helping users find what they need faster, making a product easier to manufacture, or helping a business communicate its value more clearly. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Communicative & Collaborative

I communicate early and often. No surprises, no last-minute pivots. I keep stakeholders in the loop so we're all moving in the same direction.

Time & Cost Conscious

I'm obsessed with efficiency. Time is money, and I respect both. I focus on high-impact work that moves the needle without bloating budgets or timelines.

Iterative Design

I iterate constantly. Design, test, learn, repeat. I'd rather catch a bad idea in a wireframe than after it's been coded.

Trackable & Transparent

I measure what matters. If we can't track it, we can't improve it. I tie design decisions to business outcomes whenever possible.

When I'm not designing,
I'm all over the place.

📈

Finance & Macroeconomics

I'm the person reading Fed reports for fun and tracking market trends. Understanding how money moves helps me design better business solutions — connecting dots between economic forces and design decisions is a genuine obsession.

Tech

Always exploring new tools, frameworks, and platforms. If there's a bleeding-edge technology, I've probably poked at it.

🏀

Sports

Big on basketball, football, and the occasional deep dive into sports analytics.

🍳

Food & Cooking

Meal prep enthusiast. I treat cooking like a design problem: maximise flavour and nutrition while minimising time and cost.

🎬

Art, Comics, Movies & TV

I'm a sucker for good storytelling. Comics, films, shows — if it's well-crafted, I'm watching it and probably overthinking the narrative structure. Good design and good storytelling share more DNA than most people realise.

💪

Fitness

Staying active keeps my brain sharp. Whether it's lifting, running, or just moving, I build it into my routine.
